Delete your TrackIt account
You can delete your TrackIt account yourself, from inside the app, on either the phone or the website. It takes two taps and happens immediately. If you can no longer sign in, or you have already uninstalled the app, there is an email route at the bottom of this page.
Before you start: cancel your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription, because the money is not held by us. If you subscribed:
- in the Android app — cancel in the Google Play Store, under Payments & subscriptions;
- on the website — cancel from Settings before you delete the account.
How to delete it
- Open TrackIt and sign in.
- Go to More → Settings in the Android app, or Settings on the website.
- Scroll to Danger zone and choose Delete account.
- Confirm. The account and its data are removed straight away.
What is deleted
Everything TrackIt holds about you, in every place it is stored:
| What | Includes |
|---|---|
| Your account | The sign-in record itself, your email address, and your display name |
| Your diary | Every day you have logged, with its food, calories, macronutrients, micronutrients and water |
| Your measurements | Weight, body fat and muscle mass history |
| Your settings | Goals and targets, the fasting window, saved meal presets and saved recipes |
| Your public profile | Your username, streak, log count and achievement badges — the profile other users can search for. It stops being findable immediately |
| Everything else keyed to you | Your cached food lookups, your feature-usage counters, our copy of your billing record, and any error reports the website recorded against your account |
What is not deleted, and why
- Payment records held by Stripe and Google. If you ever paid for TrackIt Pro, the payment processor keeps its own record of the transaction. We cannot delete that, and neither can they: tax and accounting law requires it to be retained, typically for seven years. It sits with them, not with us, and our copy is deleted.
- Photos you scanned. Nothing to delete — a photo of a meal, a receipt or a fridge is sent for analysis and never stored.
- Server logs. Ordinary operational logs may mention that a request happened. They are not a copy of your diary, and they age out on their own within 30 days.
If you cannot sign in
Email trackitapp.pro@gmail.com from the address on the account, with the word Delete in the subject. We will confirm the account and delete it for you. You do not need to have the app installed.
We aim to do this within 30 days. Ask on the same address if you would rather have a copy of your data first.
